Write content for me

...and help me get you work

I have this idea in my mind that I would like to share with all of you. Now, you all are (are you, still?) looking for writing assignments and I too want to expand my writing work. Right now I have two active, business domains:

Both are maintained for the purpose of generating business, as it is quite obvious. At the moment I'm writing content for both the websites, and every website needs quality, relevant content in order to get traffic to generate business. The more relevant traffic you get, the greater business generating opportunities you have. Again, it's only obvious I can handle only a certain amount of work. My average day involves:

• Answering emails
• Generating content
• Turning in client assignments

Generating good content is the most important part of the overall online business strategy no matter if you are one-person company or a fortune 500 company. I'm managing OK for the time being, but I'd like to generate more traffic and hence more work. So I would like some of you to regularly write content for my website and my blog. It'll mainly involve 300-400-word articles and blog posts on content writing, copywriting and blog publishing. You can easily do it even if you can spare one-two hours every week.

What's in it for you?

You'll be helping me get work for you. As the relevant traffic gradually increases because of more content, I'll get more business queries. Obviously I can't handle all that work so I'll be outsourcing it to you. Whenever I give you work I won't keep my cut. So if a client pays $500 for a writing assignment that $500 go to you. If a client is ready to pay $20 per blog post then the entire amount goes to you. If the client is happy you can directly deal with him or her and this can improve your future prospects. Regularly writing for my websites will also help you hone your writing skills because if your submissions are publishable and if some editing is required I'll give you ample input. Of course for this you'll have to turn in particular amount of quality content every week.

Are you wary of writing for free?

Of course, and it's natural. But you know what, I worked for free almost for a year before paying work started trickling in. I didn't work for free for the clients, but to generate content for myself, to build relationships with other people, to develop my PR. For you it'll be easier. You'll just have to write, and frankly, it might take just 30 minutes every day to write a page or a blog post. You won't have to worry about anything else. By writing for me, you are just helping me get work for you.

So what's in it for me?

Of course I'm going to keep all the cards on the table. With an increased number of queries I'll get to chose what I want to do and what I don't want to do. Once my blog begins to get decent traffic I'll earn advertising revenue too that I can share with more regular writers.
